Included services: Basic pre-anesthetic bloodwork package (complete blood count and CHEM11 biochemistry panel), injectable sedation, intravenous catheter placement and fluid administration, general anesthesia, ultrasonic scale and polishing of all teeth, full mouth digital dental radiographs, dental probing/in-depth assessment of the health of each tooth, dental nerve blocks as needed, dental extractions as needed, in-clinic administration of two types of anti-nausea medications, in-clinic administration of an anti-inflammatory medication, injectable opioid pain relief as needed, an Ecollar as needed, and medications to go home as needed (topical opioid medication, anti-inflammatory medications, antibiotics, etc.).
Description: The low end of this package covers a teeth cleaning, the high end is the maximum out of pocket cost for removing all teeth due to severe disease. If your pet needs a cleaning and a few extractions, the cost will fall somewhere in between (it varies depending on the type of tooth extraction we need to perform). Once we perform a full assessment and radiographs of each tooth we will gain more information about the health of all teeth under the gumline. Dr. Alex will stay in contact with you at each stage of the procedure and update you if we find any diseased teeth that require extraction.
