Our Team
Meet Dr. Alex!
Hi, I’m Dr. Alex!
I’ve been practicing veterinary medicine since 2021, after graduating from University College Dublin in Ireland. I began my career in mixed animal medicine and have since found my passion in small animal surgery, where I now work full-time.
I’m passionate about making high-quality veterinary surgery more accessible and affordable for pet parents. My surgical interests include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.
My work has taken me around the world, including to India, Fiji, and Peru, where I’ve had the opportunity to provide surgical care to animals in need. I’m grateful for the opportunity to combine my love of surgery with my passion for improving access to care for pets and their families in the Denver area.
When I’m not working, I spend my time traveling, enjoying the outdoors, learning Spanish, or reading a nerdy book.
Meet Jenny!
Hi, I’m Jennifer! 🩺🐾
I’ve been a Veterinary Assistant for over six years (and counting!), and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m especially passionate about low-cost veterinary medicine because I believe every pet deserves compassionate, quality care regardless of their family’s circumstances.
One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been volunteering with a nonprofit on spay and neuter trips throughout Colorado and New Mexico, helping make veterinary care more accessible to underserved communities. I also spend time working with a cat rescue, where I get to help some of the most deserving feline friends find their second chance.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me chasing after my amazing 19-month-old, spending time with my sweet senior German Shepherd, or continuing to learn something new about veterinary medicine. My next big goal is going back to school to earn my Veterinary Technician license, and I’m excited to continue growing in a career that has already taught me so much.
I’m grateful to be part of a profession that allows me to care for animals, support their families, and make a difference—one paw at a time.
Meet Kirsten!
Kirsten graduated from Argosy University in 2011 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology and has built a career in both small animal general practice and emergency medicine. She spent eight years as a Lead Veterinary Nurse at a general practice in Denver, where she developed her clinical skills and gained valuable experience in leadership and team management.
She joined RMFR in 2023 as a nurse on the floor and continued to grow within the organization, eventually stepping into a Shelter Manager role. Through this experience, she has developed an even stronger passion for animal welfare, nonprofit work, leadership, and supporting teams dedicated to making a difference.
Outside of work, she is busy raising three children under the age of seven and enjoys life with her own crew of cats, a dog, and chickens. She is passionate about furthering her career in the nonprofit sector, with particular interests in fundraising, project management, leadership, and animal welfare.
